The term introvert never really meant anything to me until I met my lovely girlfriend (Soon to be wife).
My Dear wrote a blog post on herself, here her link if you want to read what she wrote :)
http://blog.myfatpocket.com/xinzz/2014/10/02/memes-and-me/
Sorry! My Dear, I know you don't like to be call an introvert! but only for this post ok :)
I, myself is a super extrovert, I love hanging out with people, loves social interact, loves company, so you all can guess what was it's like when the 2 of us start dating each other!
Catastrophic??? Nahhhhh!
It is amazing!!!!
Socially people tends to stereotype introverts as someone who are anti-social, lonely, not friendly, shy, quiet, less friends and etc etc...
This is become they didn't get to know this person personally.
An introvert is someone who has a human size "Bubble" or "Hamster ball" surrounding them. It doesn't mean that area is "keep Out" area, it's just that you ain't close enough to him/her to be in their "Bubble".
After dating my introvert, it spurs me to want to understand more about introverts so that I wouldn't be bewildered by the behaviors or decisions she made which were weird to me at first.
So what is it like to date an introvert!
1. They are not anti social, not depressed or mad..... (maybe not all the time)
They are actually a fun bunch if you get to know them, but they just prefer less interaction!
2. They don't like to answer phone calls.
Phone calls are a nuisance to them! Why? because they need to talk!!! but I'm very honored because she picks up my call every time... unless I did something to agitate her.
Telemarketing can totally give up about getting them to pick up your calls! and for Friends you can try!
To them... if the issue is at utmost importance!!! the person will text!!!
3. It's okay to be left alone!
Yes! They need to be left alone for a while for time to time, doing the stuff they like to RECHARGE!!! It's not because you did something wrong (Maybe you did!!!) when they said: "I need to stop talking and spend sometime alone".
4. Secretly they are very happy with someone called to cancel a gathering.
Don't ask me why! The only reason I can think of is that they prefer to stay at home and read!
So if you don't have a plan for the day, they are fine to just stay at home to watch a movie/drama . It's True.
5. It's okay if they don't call/text you for the whole day!
Don't get worried sick if them don't call/text you for the WHOLE DAY. It's totally fine, it just means today is a normal day and nothing interesting happened for them to share with you!
This also means if nothing interesting happens today, try not to keep calling/texting them! REMEMBER CONVERSATIONS DRAINS THEIR ENERGY.
Dating an introvert can be amusing and irritating at the same time. Sometimes the way she behaves still bewilder me, but I understand that by letting me into her "Bubble" means she trusts me totally and I will honor and cherish this trust that is given to me by her :)

Halloween 2013!
Halloween just went passed, I bet everyone have their own share of the fun.
For myself I had a early Halloween celebration with on the 26 Oct 2013 with my Dear and one of her bestie.
My 1st contact with Halloween was 4 years ago during 2009, I made a last minute decision after my final exams to meet my friends for Halloween.
Well... My costume doesn't kinda suit the festival but I had lots of fun that year.
I skipped Halloween for the next few years until 2012, where we decided to have a cross dress party at my friend's place. You can view my previous post here.
For convenience me and my dear decided to book a hotel room on that day. The hotel we booked was The Porcelain Hotel, It's located at Mosque Street, we got it on Agoda with a really cheap deal about $150 or so. The room was nice and cosy but it's a little too small for my size (Hahaha....)
My Halloween for 2013 started with my helping my Dear with her Halloween make up gig at a Italian Restaurant "Nuvo", located at Marina Square!
6 Raffles Boulevard #02-100
Singapore 039594
Tel: 6822 2098
After her Halloween make up, we went back to the hotel to get ready for our Halloween.
Her costume for the night was The Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland.
Mine? Well I procrastinated again (I really need to get rid of this bad habit of mine) and had only decided on it 1 week before! I'm going as Two Face!
Does it look good? I personally find it quite well done (not because she is my gf)
So off we went to Clarke Quay!
So we took a train to Clarke Quay in our costume, My Dear was telling I shouldn't smile so much don't fit the character.
While we were waiting for the train, My Dear told me that a malay uncle saw me and was spooked by my costume LOL, she say he took a step backwards Hahahaha...
We arrived at Clarke Quay!
The 1st guy we met?
What a amazing guy, he just painted him red and flaunt his figure, a well done costume I must say.
I think he was Darth Sith for Star wars?
The most common costume we saw that day was the joker from Batman: The Dark Knight.
But this guy was the best!
My Dear was planning to come as this guy initially but due to her make up gig, she decided she doesn't want to freak out the restaurant's patrons so she went as Red Queen.
I saw DEADPOOL! WOOT!!!! and beside me was Hulk Hogan and The Lone Ranger who decided to join in!
I had a lot of fun that night, someone even mistaken me as Scarface! which My Dear and her bestie laughed so hard they almost sat down on the floor!
We saw a lot of funny characters that day, there were Thor, a group of young men in diapers, Laura Croft, Lightning from FF13, we didn't managed to capture a picture with them as it was too crowded and I think I am getting too old for this, just 2 hours and I was feeling really tired.
I am really look forward for Halloween 2014, I think I should start planning my costume now or I think I may procrastinate again!
That's all for this post! Bye!!!

10 Likes & 10 Dislikes
Here is the second assignment from my Dear which was way overdue.
It's better late than never.
Here I go!
10 Things that I LIKE!!!
1. Gaming
Gaming will definitely be in this list, Why not! I've been gaming since I can remember.
My parents never understand why I like gaming, they always sees it as a waste of time, not constructive but they never knew to me gaming is a chance to escape the "REAL" world and do/experience things/objects that we can't never be able to realise in the current world we are in and Yes! it's because I'm always the HERO in games :)
2. Music (Singing)
Just by putting the word "music" is really too generic, what I really enjoy is singing, it's the only thing that I have confidence in but not the point of being arrogant and obnoxious. I knew I can sing when I was 3 or 4 years old, I was still living in my grandparents' home at bedok. I remembered I had a family of singers all my Aunts and Uncles can sing really well and my youngest aunt always told me, my dad won a lot of in singing competition when he was younger. We had a lot of sing along sessions, which I was very mesmerized and one day I decided that I wanna sing, so I jumped on top of the coffee table with a lollipop in my hand and start singing "為何你愛著別人", it's a hokkien song, don't asked me why I was 4. I remembered my grandma was laughing really hard, I still remembered the look on her face :)
3. Manga/Comic
This was one of the pocket burning hobbies that I have, I estimated I spent more than 10k in comics (Oops...) Favourite Comics/Manga includes, "Dragon ball", "One Piece", "Shaman King", "Slam Dunk", "Captain Tusbasa", "Hunter x Hunter", "将太的寿司" and a tons more. Comic gives me the same experience I get from playing games, my friends always say when Jon is reading comic don't talk to him, his soul is no longer here and he wouldn't be able to hear you LOL.
4. Movies
Movies are great! I don't even know where to start on explaining about them. I always enjoy watching movies especially with my friends and love ones. I remembered there was time that I actually enjoyed watching movies alone, I must admitted not everyone are good movie companions and I believe belong to his group once in a while hahaha.... , I really like to exchange personal thoughts of the movie with the people I watched with, sometimes I do it while in the movie LOL.
5. Chocolate
YES!!!! Chocolate! I am a fanatic when it comes to chocolate. I always want to try new flavors of chocolate. I don't know since when but I always had chocolate close to me. Even since I was studying chocolate has been my motivational food, my happy food, my stress relieving food and my happy food.
My famous chocolate is the Reese chocolate bar, I know it's sinful but I just can't stop :)
6. Dogs
Of all the animals in the animal king, the one I liked the most has always been these tail wiggling, energetic little fur balls. I had a dog once, It's was given to me by my mom's friend when I was 10, it's had been my best friend and great sibling for 18 years of my life until he passed away on 4th August 2008. For the next few weeks I was in my life's lowest. Blackie was a very unique dog, he is a mongrel but he is really adorable, he has black fur covering all over his body ( That's how the name came) with a white stripe of fur connecting from the bottom part of the head all the way to his torso and most importantly he have 4 white paws which made him looked like he was wearing gloves all the time. Blackie is really smart, he knew when I was feeling down, when it's a good time to play and when to not disturb me. I missed him a lot, he is irreplaceable.
7. Traveling
Who don't like traveling, meeting new people, visiting beautiful place, getting out of singapore once in a while to experience something different, trying different cuisine. One of the reasons I like traveling is because I love hotel stays. Favorite place of travel will be Japan. The next country on my list will be Europe, Rome especially.
I didn't know writing on things that I like can be so difficult....
8. Being Happy
I like being happy, I wake up being happy, goes to work being happy, eats happily, I am always happy.
Being happy actually spreads to the people that are around me and it's quite contagious LOL. I do have people who asked me why are you always so happy? ( in a pissed of tone), I guess it's because I don't always take things very seriously(it's my weak point too) I don't get affected by the nasty comments other people made, I laughed along with the jokes that are cracked on me, If something bad happened I just make sure it doesn't happen again ( Except when I lost my stuffs), I like to see people smiling or laughing, I feel that they are the most beautiful/handsome/adorable/mesmerising at those moments. Remember to smile more :)
9. Chicken Breast Meat
LOL, yes I love them, I always request for chicken breast meat whenever I eat chicken. My Dear is very puzzled why I love them so much, well, firstly they are really healthy, secondly, I love the chewy texture that they have. I was a chicken tight lover once things changed after I went army, I realised I always order chicken breast meat which I have not idea why. My Dear is already appreciated this unique habit of mine as she hates them hahahahaha.
10. My Grandma
I LOVE MY GRANDMA!!! She is the kindest woman I ever knew. My grandma always have this welcome home vibe on her. She is the best cook (Better than my mom LOL), she knows what are my likes and dislikes, although she always like to say the opposite hahahahaha, I remembered one year during chinese new year she was busy cooking oyster omelette for everyone and I told her,"Ah ma I wanted but no chilli ok?. She replied " no chili I don't know how to cook!" LOL 5 mins later she brought me one without chili hahahaha. I always hug her when I see her. I knew my grandma was worried of me being single for 27 years of my life, she always asking when am I getting a girlfriend. I still remembered her look when she saw Xinyi, she was smiling so brightly, I think I heard her say finally Zhongwen got gf LOL. My grandma is a very blessed woman, she got 11 kids, over 20 grandchildren and even great grandchildren, Yes I've got a big family, She got a great memory too, over 30 people in our family and she can remember what everyone favorite food :) I LOVE YOU AH MA :)
10 Things that I DON'T LIKE
1. Losing my stuffs
This is definitely No.1 in my list, I personally hate it when my stuffs are lost/gone missing. Whenever I lose something I will go into a self anger mode, I will blame myself on how can I be so careless, I will start to trace back when did I last saw it and when I am in the process of doing this, I will lose focus on my surroundings and even ignore those who are with my at that particular moment and My Dear hate it!
2.Wrongly accused
This is also in my hate list. I mean you better get your facts right before you come and confront. I always believe I gave all me heart and soul to all my friends, families, Colleagues and other working partners, So don't put words into my mouth or blame me for things that I didn't do or don't even happen to know. For those who never felt my anger before, don't try :)
3. Durians
OMG... this is one the most unpleasant fruit that I ever came across, I never understand why will someone like something that smells so bad. I remembered when I was in my primary school, my family was crowded eating durians, so I kaypo and went and took a look... My grandma ambushed me from behind and stuff a piece of durian meat into my mouth, what a mischievous grandma I have hahahaha, I remembered I spit it out instantly and went to brush and rinse my mouth for a couple of times. I believe till the day that I stepped into my grave it will be still impossible for me to like durian.
4. Chili/Spicy Food
I remembered since young I never took a liking or you can even say try chili. That choking smell that always burns up my nostril or mouth. Until now it's still quite impossible for me to eat spicy food, a lot of my families and friends will say "how can you call yourself a Singaporean when you don't eat durian or spicy food", which I always reply them, not eating them doesn't make a any less of a Singaporean. Everyone around me will always try to hoax me to take spicy food and will say things like "Come! Try it! It's not spicy", I will always reject and say "it's because you all take spicy food that's why it's not spicy to you."
I had always though laska to be spicy until one day my mom bought one home and I was really starving so I had no choice but to eat it, that's when I realised laska wasn't spicy and I was 27 then LOL.
5. Dolls
I was always creep out by dolls, Not barbie dolls, its those with the massive big eyes, they always gave me a "Annabelle" feel. The big eyes they have always gave me a feeling that they are waiting for a opportunity to come alive LOL. I guess I was really spooked by the movie "Chucky", I am a fan for horror movies but those that involves with dolls will always creep me out. I told my Dear no dolls are allowed in our future home. If I have a daughter, I will teach her to play transformers.
6. Clowns
I know there a medical term for this, some phobia. I can't seem to remember since when I started disliking clowns or afraid of them. Clowns always gave me a evil vibe, there's a movie titled "IT" which is about a demon disguising itself as a clown to kill little kids, I remember I was really spooked by it when I was watching it as kid. I know its a human behind every clown but we can always be sure, we wouldn't know whether it's a devil in disguise so it's better to be safe than sorry.
7. Cockroach
These little pest is also one of the terror in my life especially those flying ones, thinking of them now is already giving me shivers. How I came to fear them, It was when I was 12, I was sitting on the floor packing my bag one day and suddenly felt something climbing up my foot, up my stomach and all way down my back. I jumped up immediately and start throwing everything I could grab hold to at it, It was a really disgusting trauma, feeling multiple little climbing up and down your body, until today I still can't forget that incident. I am not so afraid of cockroach now but I am still really terrified by those flying ones.
8. People who want "face"
This is one of the most annoying trait a person can have and "face" needs to be earned. Whenever a person says come on give me some face, I will always do the opposite. I always feel that a person or human one should be humble, I really dislike someone who don't say sorry when they are in the wrong, I mean how hard can it be to say sorry? you are willing to damage the relationship between 2 person just because you want to save your "face"? If so you can take your "face", go dig a hole and bury yourself with it together, I don't give a damn.
9. Quarrel/Argument
I really dislike being in an argument or quarreling with someone. It's always in these moments that we say the most hurtful things that one can imagine and the aftermath of an argument is always remorse, guilty. My parents fought a lot when I was young (They are better now, a lot better), I remembered hiding in my room under my blanket when ever my parents fought, after that I will see tears and remorse in both their eyes. I really hate it. I was always wondering why can't we just talk things out instead of thrusting those hurtful words and trying who can win the other over? Is it so important to win at that moment and compromising the relationship between 2 person?
10. Taxi
You all get what I mean right. Don't you all feel that recently taxis in Singapore are super hard to get? I always spent 20 mins or more trying to get a taxi under the fury sun of Singapore and sometimes they wouldn't even answer your calls! Another thing that I dislike about taxi is when I give them a $50 dollars note and they said "$50 ah, got smaller one or not" and they will grumble and grumble when I say I don't. It's depends on the driver actually some driver really have very bad manners/attitude, I remembered I once took a taxi and the cab fare came to $23, I give him a $50 note, he asked me whether I had smaller notes, I say no, luckily we were at a hotel and the hotel staff helped to change my note in 5 $10 notes, so I gave the uncle $30 and he again he said "no small changes ah?", I was furious and gave him $20 and left, even the hotel staff also stand at my side telling off the uncle. I understands it when you don't have enough $10s , you don't even have $2s? what kind of driver are you? I am lucky enough to have meet good drivers also, who are really polite and understanding, telling us what he have at the moment which made the ride home really pleasant.
It's better late than never.
Here I go!

Jon Keith Guo Zhongwen
First I will like to apologise for the fact that I disappeared for quite such a long time.
I can come up with tons of excuses to explain about my disappearance but the truth is I WAS LAZY :)
Recently, my girlfriend gave me a task, she requested me to write a blog entry about myself, after some consideration I decided to go for and that's why this entry's title is my full name.
THE NAME PART
I always introduce myself as Jon Keith Guo Zhongwen to everyone I met but my name on my NRIC is only
Guo Zhongwen.
I got my name Jon from my auntie during I was primary 5, she suggested that having a English/Christian name will it make a lot easier for people to remember my name so she gave me my first English name Jonathan.
I remembered during I was primary 6, I started to write my name as Jonathan on all my PETS workbooks and worksheets. One day, my English teacher stood in front of the whole class and asked, "Who is Jonathan?, can Jonathan please come out". I took me about 2 minutes to muster all the courage I could mustered and stood up, walk towards him and told him, "I am Jonathan." I clearly remembered seeing my teacher rolled his eyes and told me. "It's a really nice name but you can't just put your name as Jonathan."
The next thing I remembered was my whole class laughing at me and comments like "Try to act cool", "Hahaha shameless" were flying all over the classroom, this was really one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.
I was really embarrassed after that and I stop using the name Jonathan for quite sometime, This continue all the way until I finished my 'O' levels which is failed TERRIBLY and had to go to a private school named 'YMCA'.
There at YMCA I met new friends and people, I still introduced myself as Zhongwen until one particular friend name "Boon" said (this is his exact words) "You got ANG MOH name or not", I told him, "you can call me Jon." and he said. "Jon Ah! Aiya why you don't say earlier, Zhongwen, Zhongwen very difficult to call." and so the name stick to me since then.
So what about the Keith part? The name Keith came to me about a few years ago. I just finished my NS and since I lost about 13kg and no longer looked so fat, I started to be vain, all the way to the point of metro. So one day my buddy came to me and said, "Jon! you looked very Keith today." I was like what you mean by very Keith today? It was months later then I realised Keith = Gay looking. I really like the name Keith so I being using it since then no matter is it gay or not.
THE THINGS THAT I LIKE PART
Since I was a kid, I had been a dead hard fan of video games, I could spent 2 days 2 night playing non stop till the point that my parents threw away my console once, but I secretly got it back and continue gaming.
My parent finally realized they can't stopped me and gave up trying.
Counting all the consoles I ever had, there was the Nintendo, the Sega, Gameboy, Gameboy advance, PS One, PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo DS, 3DS(Gift from my girlfriend) and not counting the PCs that I owned.
Gaming had taken up atremendous part of my life, I was never the sporty type, exercising was like a definite no no until I went to NS. Gamers should know that video games are classified under a few genres, there's RPG, action RPG, FPS(First Person Shooting), Hack & Slash, Strategy, Simulation etc etc. My personal favorite is RPG and the game that puts me there was none other than the all time classic Final Fantasy 7 :)
RPG games allows me to experience and live as another person , it allows me to escape the real world when I was playing, its allows me to be the hero I always wanted to be. In video games I was always the knight in shining armor, the hero that saves the world, the one that everyone adores and respects.
I always have passion when it comes to music, I love singing so much that I once thought I was the best, seconded to non than my elder brother until I met a particular individual. I love watching reality show on singing or singing competitions. I always took the advices the judges gave to the participants and applied them on myself. I will jumped on any opportunities I get to perform unless they required me to something not myself. My best years were during my poly when I was in the Song Composing Club. There I met a lot of different individuals who share the same dream as me, we worked hard towards our goal sometimes till the point that we forgotten to eat. I had a stardom dream once but it was complete trashed by someone and came to realized that I really stand no chance in the much later part of my 20s.
I love and hate dancing. I love watching other people dance while I hate myself for unable to do it. I have a body of a log and they don't following orders. Whenever I passed by any dancing competition stage, I will always stopped to take a look, to admire those amazing dance moves and imagining I was the one doing it.

THE TRUE ME PART
I've been a loser for the most of life, which lead to me finding my haven in video games. I was always the one being laughed at, being made fun of, I think this world really discriminates fat people.
This part of my changed when I met Dexter, a full of shit, always up to no good but very smart and hard working guy. I met Dexter at YMCA, even though he being taller, smarter and much more good looking than me, he let me lead, he always listens to my stupid/lame decisions (unless they are really too stupid), He made me realized that there are kind people in the world, people that don't discriminate me because I was fat. Thank you Dex!
My life changed the most when I entered Poly, where I met the 2 most important friends in my life, Wei Jian & Ken. These 2 individuals really loved me as who I am, who I was. They became my beacons of light, they guided me through all minor and major decisions in my life, they gave me wise advices, they partied with me, they went through thick and thin with me and I must say the made me who I am today, they made me the Jon Keith Guo you all see today. Thank you my bros!!!
I am actually a really really lazy person if you leave me alone in my home I think I will rot. I like impromptu, planning isn't my forte, being organized was never a part of me. I was always the follower, I dare to say that I'm a excellent executor, I can carry out instructions really well and sometimes even exceed expectations. I really like the part of not needing me to use my brains but this changed when I met Xinyi.
I am also a very shy person, although I don't portray so but friends who knows me will understand that. It takes forever and endless encouragement before I will so something crazy unless I have a few drinks.
I used to be a spoil brat, I took things for granted. I was bullied during primary and secondary school but I bullied my siblings at home (I am a asshole) I used to always give in to threats, I lied a lot during my teenage years to make myself looked manly, I stole some stuffs during my teenage years (Guilty), I always thought I was a great speaker until Poly, I used to be superficial, I almost died once, I hated my father a long time ago, I was secretly in love with at least 10 girls during 3 short poly years (Oops), I always people the benefit of the doubt no matter how trashy the individual is, I've got a super lousy memory, I smoked when I was 9 but stopped when I was 12, I was so depressed during 2011 that I broke my promise to myself that I wouldn't smoke, I sux academically, I was never the cool guy, I can't look cool (tried and failed BADLY), I always put on a joker look on myself, I am me.

THE LOVE PART
Xinyi came into my life on 24 March 2012, she came and resculptured me. She came and woke me up from lazy life, my disorganized and happy go lucky life. Slowly I am more adapted to planning, more organized and less lazy. Xinyi is a very intelligent woman, although she always say that she only good at studying full stop. The day she rest her head on my shoulders after I confessed, I felt that my life was completed.
Having Xinyi in my life was both wonderful and challenging, she is the only girlfriend, which made me very excited about the life we gonna have together and at the same time worried about will I be good enough for her. We do have our up and down in the relationship but it really hurts me to see her cry. I told myself after a major argument we had, from now I will always apologise first after an argument no matter who's right or wrong.
Xinyi loves coffee, she loves to sleep, she loves movies, she loves to just stay at home reading a book, she loves to take pictures, she loves kele, she loves japanese food, she loves western cuisine too, she loves edgey stuffs, she loves pretty things, she loves animals, she loves to wear cosmetic lenses, she loves her parents, she loves her niece, she loves her nephew, she loves music, she loves larenciel, she loves gackt, she loves TOP, she loves staycations, she loves shopping, she loves to pamper herself, she loves cultural stuffs, she loves to travel, she loves her BFFs, she loves makeup, she loves flowers, she loves doraemon, she loves short breaks between shoppings, she loves pastries, she loves bread, she loves skinny pizza, she loves coke cola, she loves Johnny Depp, she loves Iron man, she loves ViVi Magazine, shes loves surprises, she loves kids, she loves to irritate me, she loves to tickle me, she loves to pinch my belly, shes loves me :)

For this year things are different. because my answers are different! Usual Answers: I don't even have GF how to get married", "Kids? Wahhh so we are skipping the step of marriage and straight to kids! Aunt, I don't know you so modern! encourage Shotgun!"
How I answer now: " Hmmm!!! Soon???", "Planning?"
Xin Xin's Answer: " He haven propose yet!!!" *All eyes staring at me!!!*
